Rowen Valley Linden Beds are slightly wider than a standard mattress, and some customers have mentioned a noticeable gap between the frame and box springs. This is industry standard; it makes it easier to make the bed and allows room for the sheets, blankets, and comforter. When a standard mattress is centered, there should be about a 1" gap on either side. The Little Seeds Rowan Valley Linden Full Size Bed meets or exceeds the CPSIA Juvenile testing requirements to ensure your child's safety.
On the twin frame, the distance between side rails, or the width of the slats, measures 41 inches. There are products available to reduce or eliminate the gap between the box spring and bed frame if there is still a concern, but the combined gap of both sides is comparable to the distance between the slats of a baby crib.
