Unfortunately, water damage is not considered a manufacturer's defect, and would not be covered under warranty. A spilled drink that is immediately and thoroughly cleaned up should not be an issue. The concern is when liquid is left sitting on the laminated particleboard. Cups that are used without coasters and hidden puddles from planters are some of the top offenders.
