Our commitment is to ensure that your furniture arrives to you free from damage and defect and we recommend carefully inspecting each part before assembly. If a blemish goes unnoticed until after the item is built, it may feel like you’re caught between a rock and a hard place. It is frustrating to think about dismantling something that took hours to build, and equally disheartening to look at the flaw every day.
If the damage is purely cosmetic, and you prefer a touch up to a replacement part, we are able to send a touchup crayon "nub" that matches the finish. This will be approximately an inch in length and more than a sufficient amount to cover any imperfections.
What to expect:
We keep close to a hundred different Mohawk Fil-Stick colors in stock. When one is needed, our parts department will break off a piece, usually around an inch long and send that to you to use for touchups.
Crayon Directions:
Although there are variations for use of this tool, the following are some general guidelines.
- Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry.
- Rub crayon generously over blemish. Don’t be afraid to color like a kindergartener; no need to stay within the lines! The wax should fill in any notches and protect the exposed wood product.
- Remove excess with a credit card or plastic scraper and buff with a soft cloth.
