The warranty is provided in bold below, with an explanation provided after each point.
Ameriwood warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship and agrees to remedy any such defect. This warranty covers one year from the date of original purchase. This is solely limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts and no assembly labor is included.
In other words, if an item arrives to you damaged or defective, we will work with you to make it right. We do not guarantee that we will have replacement parts in stock. If parts are not available, the item may need to be returned to the retailer so that you can get your money back. We may also ask for more information to see if an alternate resolution can be found. The customer service representative will determine the best course of action.
This warranty does not apply to any product which has been improperly assembled, subjected to misuse or abuse or which has been altered or repaired in any way. Liability for consequential damages is excluded to the extent exclusion is permitted by law. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. Additional warranty rights may be provided by law in some areas.
If parts are omitted from assembly, such as the castors or the back panel, or damage is caused by not properly following the instructions, you may have unintentionally voided the warranty. If you attach a dart board to the cabinet or add more than the recommended weight limits to the shelves, it is not covered. We want to help you be successful in building your furniture! If you have questions about the instructions at any point, please feel free to contact us.
To obtain warranty service, purchaser must present original bill of sale. Components repaired or replaced are warranted through the remainder of the original warranty period only. The defective components will be repaired or replaced without charge, subject to the terms and conditions described above.
The bill of sale is the proof of purchase. If you purchased your item online, a screenshot of your order confirmation/email from the retailer will suffice. It should show the date of purchase, the item, and the dollar amount. If the receipt was lost or the item was a gift, we are willing and able to help in a more limited capacity. In most cases, the assembly manual, package and/or back panel will include a manufacturer's date. If the manufacturer's date is within a year from when you are contacting us, we will do our best to assist. If it is not and no proof of purchase can be obtained, parts can still be purchased, if available.
