On all units with a digital control panel, no, it does not! We feel like that would detract from the beauty of the flickering lights and lessen the ambiance. Depending on the model, the touchscreen control panel features either four or five icons and an additional digital display used for both temperature and flame level. While choosing your settings, the icons glow solid, and the digital display will flash, continuing for five seconds after the last selection. The control panel will then solidly glow for an additional five seconds before darkening, leaving only the flame and heat functions operating at desired selections.
The 18" models do not have a digital display. There is a small red light on the heater which would glow while the heat was in use.
