Catch kits are comprised of two parts, one male and one female and each door has its own set. In packaging, catch kits come together, and will need to be separated for assembly. The female portion attaches to the underside of the top panel of the cabinet and the male piece attaches to the door so that when the door is shut, it is closed securely.
Each piece of the catch kit features two elongated screw holes. This allows for some adjustability during assembly. All holes for attaching catch kits are predrilled, but it is still possible to attach them slightly misaligned. To prevent damage to these pieces, carefully check their alignment by mostly closing the door, leaving it ajar about one inch and looking directly down at the catch. If any alignment issues are present, loosen the screws, make the necessary adjustments, and retighten. This may take several attempts to get just right.
