The control panel comprises several icons: power, flame, heater, timer, and ember, but it will also house the digital display. This is located to the far left side of the control panel and can change according to the settings.
If you are changing the temperature selection, for example, it may read a number between 64 and 82, or 18 and 27, depending on whether Fahrenheit or Celsius is selected.
If you are making changes to the flame setting, these will display with the level and a number (L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6, L7, L8). On fireplaces with the log display there are just four levels; L1 is a soft glow of the embers only, and L4 is the maximum flame height. On models that includes crystals, there are eight levels, each representing a flame color.
For units that contain crystals, the control panel will also display the side and ember lights selection (d1, d2, d3, d4, d5, d6, d7, d8).
The timer also uses the digital display to make selections. These will show a number and an h (hours). The thirty-minute selection omits the h.
Lastly, error codes are also displayed here, and may register as E1, E2, or E3.
