Standard drawers come in black (A56750), white (A56760), and linen (A56770), also known as euro or kitchen slides. They are 350mm (14") long, with an operational length of 265mm (10 7/16").
Common Issues and Solutions:
If your drawers are catching, jamming, or not sliding smoothly, the screws may be catching against the wheels. Ensure the screws are flush with the slides.
Steps to Check and Correct Screw Placement:
-
Run your fingers along the slide parts to check for bumps or scuff marks at the screws.
-
Ensure screws are inserted straight, not at an angle.
-
Remove the drawer.
-
Look for protruding or crooked screws or scuff marks.
-
Straighten and/or retighten the problematic screw, then reinsert the drawer.
-
If the drawer still sticks, remove the problematic screw. Each drawer slide uses 3-4 screws per part, so removing one will not affect stability.
Identifying Drawer Slide Parts:
-
Cabinet Members: These are slightly larger than the drawer side since the drawer side runs inside the cabinet side. They are marked with "L" or "R" and an arrow indicating the top. The right part has a curved lip to keep the wheel on track.
-
Drawer Members: These attach along the bottom edge of the drawer and connect with the wheel at the back. They are also marked with "L" or "R." The left part has speed bumps in front of the wheel to stop the drawer from rolling out, and the right part has indentations to coordinate with these and a curl to keep the wheel on track.
Note: Drawer slides are sourced from different factories and may have different part numbers. However, their features and quality standards are consistent.
Depending on your model, these parts are attached either with spacers or directly to the sides of the unit.
If you are assembling one of our 6 drawer dressers, please note that drawer cabinet members will attach to both sides of the same panel. They are assembled with the wheel closest to the front of the unit.
