Fire ratings are only required on items that will be used in commercial settings, such as hospitals or schools. Because we do not currently offer a commercial line for Ameriwood Home furniture, a fire rating is not required. Our manufactured wood products do undergo a flammability test, however, and are compliant with 16 CFR 1500.44, as defined by the Code of Federal Regulations. This test involves exposing a panel to a flame for a designated period of time and calculating the rate of burning. For more details, please click here to visit the appropriate page of the CFR website.
